NICKEL: Vale Canada inks supply deal with Northvolt
Vale Canada announced Tuesday it will supply low-carbon nickel products to Norwegian battery manufacturer Northvolt as part of a multi-year deal at an undisclosed price, Kallanish reports.
The supply agreement, reached after two years of negotiation, will offer Northvolt access to a lower nickel carbon footprint. The battery manufacturer has the mission to build “the world’s greenest battery to enable the transition to electrification.”
