NIO to expand battery swapping in Europe with new plant in Hungary
Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer NIO will soon expand its successful battery swapping business model to Europe, with the commissioning of a new factory in Hungary, Kallanish reports.
The carmaker says it will start operations of its NIO Power Europe Plant in Pest, central Hungary, in September. The plant will cover manufacturing and after-sales of battery swapping stations, training for power operations in Europe and the R&D of power products.
