Peru’s August copper production reaches 8-month high
Peruvian copper output increased on-month in August, reaching its highest volume so far this year. Production, however, was down on-year, Kallanish reports.
The latest report by Peru’s mines and energy ministry Minem shows national copper production reached 207,739 tonnes in the month, which represents a 6.4% growth on-month. This volume, however, was 1.5% less compared to August 2021.
