Posco eyes 5m t hydrogen production by 2050
South Korean steelmaker Posco is set to launch a new hydrogen-focused business unit next year, aiming to make it its next “growth engine,” Kallanish reports.
The company announced earlier this week plans to become carbon neutral by 2050. Under its vision, Posco aims to produce 5 million tonnes of hydrogen by 2050 from its current production of 7,000 t as a steelmaking by-product.
