RARE EARTH: Leading Edge appeals Norra Karr rejection to Swedish government
Canada-based Leading Edge Materials announces that it has filed a full appeal to the Swedish government following the rejection of its mining lease application for the Norra Karr rare earth element project in southern Sweden, Kallanish reports.
The application was rejected last May by the Mining Inspectorate of Sweden (Bergsstaten). That agency ruled that a Natura 2000 permit is required prior to the agency being able to evaluate the mining lease application. The …
