RARE EARTH: Ucore planning RapidSX separation pilot plant
Canada-based Ucore Rare Metals says the commissioning of the RapidSX demonstration-scale pilot plant to separate rare earth elements by subsidiary Innovation Metals Corp is scheduled to start in third quarter 2021, Kallanish reports.
That work will require completion of a comprehensive independent techno-economic study and the design of a commercial-scale REE separation facility, both expected to be completed in first quarter 2022, it says.
