Saint-Gobain tests hydrogen for glass making
French glass producer Saint-Gobain is paving the way for the future use of hydrogen in its manufacturing process. The firm has performed a test production of flat glass using more than 30% hydrogen. The Research & Development trials were carried out at its facility in Herzogenrath in Germany.
The firm says it intends to use H2 with other green energy sources to cuts its scope 1 emissions by up to 70%. The H2 test production is part of Saint-Gobain’s 2022…
