Sila begins build-out on Washington silicon anode plant
Sila Nanotechnologies, a California-based battery materials company, has begun building out its “automotive-scale” manufacturing plant in Washington state.
Known as Sila Moses Lake, the plant is expected to begin commercial production of the company’s Titan Silicon anode in 2025. The product is said to offer 20% greater energy density than graphite-based anodes, boosting EVs’ range and slashing charge times.
