Stellantis to buy US financial company for $285m
Stellantis announced on Thursday it will acquire F1 Holdings Corp, parent company to First Investors Financial Services Group, for $285 million in cash, Kallanish reports.
The carmaker described the transaction as highly strategic to establishing a US captive finance company to support its sales and fully capitalise on its market position. Presently, Stellantis is the only major OEM in the US without a captive auto finance company.
