Tesla intends to double its Giga Berlin battery, EV production capacity
US carmaker Tesla is reportedly planning to double its electric vehicle production capacity at its Giga Berlin plant to 1 million units/year, Kallanish notes.
The company suggested in a local stakeholder engagement meeting on Tuesday that the expansion would not require additional water. It plans to reuse nearly all the water consumed at the plant by increasing recycling.
