Toyota, Daimler ink partnership to merge Japanese truck operations
Daimler Truck and Toyota have concluded a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to merge their truck brands in Japan, Kallanish reports.
Daimler’s Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corp (MFTBC) and Toyota’s Hino Motors will be merged under a holding company to develop a “globally competitive” Japanese truck manufacturer. The deal is expected to strengthen the Japanese and Asian automotive industries further, the companies said in a joint statement.…
