The UK car production rose 13.71% in February, driven by a boost in EV output, higher demand from the exports market and an easing of supply chain shortages, Kallanish reports.
Data from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) showed on Thursday British car plants produced 69,707 units, of which 27,392 were EVs. That means two in five cars manufactured last month were either battery electric, plug-in hybrid or hybrid electric vehicles.
