UK set to grant funding for Britishvolt’s £2.6 billion gigafactory
UK battery start-up Britishvolt is reportedly close to securing funding from the government for its multi-stage 30 gigawatt-hours project in the country.
The government is reportedly expected to provide £200-250 million ($276-345m) in state aid for the construction of the £2.6 billion Blyth gigafactory, in Northumberland, northern England. The funding could be confirmed in the upcoming weeks.
