Ukraine increases EV sales in September despite war
Ukrainian domestic sales of electric vehicles increased in January-September, despite the ongoing Russian military invasion into Ukraine, according to data from the Ukrainian automotive association Ukravtoprom.
Sales of electric cars amounted to 8,900 units, which is almost one and a half times more than in the same period in 2021, Kallanish notes. In September alone, 1,583 EVs were sold in Ukraine, up by 77% on-year and 6% on-month, the association claims.
