Umicore finalises agreement on Canadian CAM, pCAM plant
Umicore has finalised an agreement with the governments of Canada and Ontario province to build a 35 gigawatt-hour battery materials production plant in Loyalist Township.
The facility, located about 25 kilometres from Kingston, Ontario, will produce cathode active materials (CAM) and precursor cathode active materials (pCAM) on an industrial scale to support EV and wider battery production in North America.
