Volkswagen shuts down Russian production until further notice
German automaker Volkswagen confirmed on Thursday its decision to stop production of vehicles in Russia “until further notice,” Kallanish reports
The company had earlier condemned the Russian attack on Ukraine and urged a return to diplomacy. The group’s board of management says that that decision applies to the production sites in Kaluga and Nizhny Novgorod. Vehicle exports to Russia will also be stopped “with immediate effect.”
