Wartsila to develop two battery storage projects in Texas
Finland-based Wartsila will provide its energy storage technology to two projects totalling 200 megawatts in southern Texas, Kallanish reports.
The interconnected, stand-alone Madero and Ignacio plants will be built for Able Grid Energy Solutions, the utility-scale energy storage project development arm of MAP RE/ES. Both systems are expected to become operational in January 2022.
