Xpeng ranks No.1 Chinese EV brand in July
Chinese EV start-up Xpeng ranked first in EV sales among Chinese brands priced at above CNY 200,000 ($30,889) last month, according to the China Passenger Car Association.
The “super-long range” smart sedan is sold at CNY 229,900 in China after subsidies. Offering a range of 706 kilometres (NEDC), the vehicle was only behind Tesla Model 3. Xpeng sold 6,054 P7s compared to 6,477 Tesla sales of the Model 3, Kallanish reports.
