Yahua, XTC's cathode materials JV starts production
Yahua Group and Xiamen XTC’s joint venture XTC New Energy Materials recently started production of lithium battery materials in Ya’an Economic Development Area, Sichuan Province.
The project can produce 100,000 tonnes/year of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode materials and 60,000 t/y of ternary precursor materials. Production capacity also includes an unspecified amount of lithium battery recycling and reutilisation, Kallanish notes.
