Final HSBC China PMI revised down for June
The final reading of the HSBC Markit China manufacturing purchasing manager’s index (PMI) for June came in at 49.4, down from a preliminary reading of 49.6 issued last week. The figure was up from 49.2 in May however. China’s official PMI came in at 50.2 for June, flat from May, Kallanish notes.
The two PMI’s paint a bleak picture with even the usually more optimistic official figure barely showing any expansion whatsoever. The HSBC figure …
