Ilva joins consortium aimed at providing cheaper electricity
Ilva has joined the Metal Interconnector Consortium (Mic) which is expected to implement a new series of power lines between Italy, France, Slovakia and Montenegro, Kallanish learns from sources in the industry. The project aims at improving the flexibility of the Italian energy sector, allowing local energy-intensive companies to import electricity from neighbouring countries at lower prices.
