Ukraine's Ilyich upgrades BOF
Ukraine’s Ilyich Iron & Steel Works says it has begun a "large-scale general repair" of its No 1 basic oxygen furnace, with a view to cutting dust emissions, and associated exhaust carbon content. The roughly $9.5 million project will also improve steelmaking efficiency, Metinvest tells Kallanish.
