Vedanta resumes iron ore mining in Goa after 3-year hiatus

Vedanta Resources has resumed operations at its Codli mine in Goa after a hiatus of almost three years, thus becoming the first company to restart iron ore mining in the state following its 2012 mining ban. Besides Codli, Vedanta has received approval to resume output at is Goa-based Bicholim mine. Final clearances for other mines are expected to be granted by end-August.
