Xingcheng commissions worlds first 450mm thick slab caster
Eastern China’s Xingcheng Special Steel has commissioned a 450mm thick slab caster supplied by Capital Engineering and Research Incorporation (CERI), a subsidiary of China Metallurgical Group (MCC). CERI says it is the world’s first caster able to cast such thick slab and is targeted toward the production of ship and marine plate and thick boiler plate for the power sector.
