AIC completes Gerdau’s Cosigua equipment revamp
Brazil’s Gerdau has issued the final acceptance certificate to Automazioni Industriali Capitanio (AIC) for the successful commissioning of finishing block technology at rolling mill No.2 at the Cosigua plant in Rio de Janeiro, Kallanish learns from the Italian technology supplier.
According to AIC, tests were carried out with ABB Group’s ACS880 multidrive, followed by tests with upgraded AC motors.
