Algoma renews ore supply agreement with US Steel
Canada's Algoma Steel will continue to procure iron ore from US Steel, Kallanish learns.
The Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario-based steelmaker confirms that it has agreed to a two-year continuation of existing purchase agreements with US Steel. The new pact includes an option to extend the arrangement for a third year “solely at Algoma’s discretion,” says a statement from Algoma.
