Algoma Steel feels impact of rail work stoppage
Algoma Steel says its fiscal fourth quarter results will show the impacts of logistical supply chain challenges as well as continued Covid-related impacts.
Although the recent work stoppage of the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference union at Canadian Pacific Railway lasted only a few days, Algoma had made preparations in case the rail shutdown had lasted some time. As a result, it is expecting some adverse impact to its Q4 earnings.
