Angang halts iron and plate production in August
Anshan Iron & Steel plans to overhaul its 2,580-cubic-metre blast furnace for 22 days from 6 August and its 2,500mm thick-plate mill over the period of 10-25 August, Kallanish notes.
The steelmaker thus expects to lose 132,000 tonnes of iron output and 35,000t of plate output because of the maintenance.
