Angang resumes blast furnace operation

Chinese steelmaker Angang has resumed operation of its No.2 blast furnace and other facilities on site on 8 May, 55 hours earlier than previously expected, Kallanish notes. The refurbishment work started at the beginning of March. The 3,200-cubic-metre No.2 blast furnace has been relined and its electrics upgraded.
