Aperam decreases alloy surcharges

French stainless steel producer Aperam is decreasing its April alloy surcharges for its austenitic range of flat stainless steels for Europe. The steelmaker is reducing 304 prices by over €200/tonne ($216) month-on-month, Kallanish notes. Aperam’s surcharges for grade 304 (1.4301) will reduce from €2,848/t to €2,599/t, effective 1 April.
