ArcelorMittal Pecém registers record slab exports in 2023
Brazil’s ArcelorMittal Pecém (AMP) saw slab exports rise month-on-month in December 2023, Kallanish notes. Shipments were also higher compared with the same period in 2022.
According to data issued by the local port authority, AMP’s December shipments abroad reached 278,688 tonnes, up 55,617t, or 24.9% on-month. This volume was 75.2% higher versus the 159,035t shipped a year earlier.
