Argentina’s crude steel production reaches one-year high

The Argentinian steel sector saw its performance improve in October. During the month, the industry’s crude steel output reached its highest volume in the last 12 months, Kallanish notes. According to national steel association Cámara Argentina de Acero (CAA), Argentinian crude steel production was 458,500 tonnes in October, up 2.5% or 11,200t month-on-month, but was 7% less year-on-year.
