Argentina's primary iron production recovers in August
Argentinian primary iron output increased on-month but remained down year-on-year in August, Kallanish learns from Argentinian steel association Cámara Argentina de Acero's (CAA) latest data.
Primary iron production was 281,900 tonnes in the month, up 24% over July but 10.6% weaker compared to the 315,200t produced in August 2021. This volume was the highest in the last three months since the 328,700t produced by the country in May.
