Argentine primary iron output weakens in 2023
Argentinian primary iron production fell for a second consecutive month in December, Kallanish notes. The country ended 2023 with output slightly down compared with 2022, according to the national steel association Cámara Argentina del Acero (CAA).
Primary iron output was 209,000 tonnes in December, a decline of 71,000t or 25.4% from November and 36.2% less year-on-year. This volume was the lowest since 195,000t produced in July.
