Astino January-quarter profit rises amid improved sales, margin
Malaysian service centre and fabricator Astino reported higher profit amid increased sales and improved profit margin in its second fiscal quarter through January 2024, Kallanish notes.
Net profit surged almost four-fold to MYR 11.78 million ($2.5m) in the quarter from MYR 2.95m a year earlier.
Revenue also rose, by 18.09% to MYR 169.22m, from MYR 143.29m a year earlier, mainly due to the increase in local market demand, the firm says.
