Avtovaz acquires Toyota’s components plant in Russia
Russian carmaker Avtovaz has consolidated the former automotive component joint venture of Japan’s Toyota Tsusho (65%) and Atsumitec (35%), which produced gearshift drives at a plant in Togliatti, Russia.
The automaker now owns a 99% stake in Atsumitek Toyota Tsuse Rus (ATC Rus), while the other 1% belongs to its subsidiary and distributor of spare parts, Lada-Image, Kallanish notes.
