Avtovaz launches production at former Nissan plant
Russian carmaker Avtovaz officially restarted the production of cars and produced the first of the Lada X-Cross 5 model at the former Nissan plant in St. Petersburg.
The company plans to produce up to 10,000 units by the end of the year, Kallanish notes. Avtovaz plans to further expand and increase the annual production of cars at the Lada St. Petersburg site to as many as 115,000–120,000 units per year.
