Baogang gives up original converter upgrade plan
China’s Baotou Iron & Steel (Baogang) Group has given up its original plan for a converter upgrade, and the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Inner Mongolia has withdrawn the public information on the project and declared it invalid, Kallanish notes.
This is due to changes in the optimization plan of Baogang’s production lines, says the department. However, no details of the latest changes have been announced at this time.
