Baosteel Desheng contracts series 400 stainless plant
MCC 17 has won the bid to construct the first phase of an equipment upgrade at Baosteel Desheng Stainless Steel Company, Kallanish notes.
The first phase will include a melt shop for high-end special steel with capacity of 1.44 million tonnes/year and two hot rolling lines for series 400 stainless steel anticipated to reach 1.35m t/y capacity. The contract includes AOD furnaces, the main steelmaking workshop and other facilities.
