Baosteel Zhanjiang orders SMS coiler
Baosteel has ordered a new coiler for its Zhanjiang flat steel works in Guangdong province. SMS Group will supply the coiler and also supplied the hot strip mill at the plant, Kallanish notes.
The coiler is designed to deal with high strength coil and thick strips, including X100 and X120 pipmaking steel and ultra high strength 1,200 N/mm2 strips. It should process its first coil at the end of 2017. The new coiler is positioned downstream of two existing co…
