Baosteel Zhanjiang tilts relocated converter
Baosteel’s Zhanjiang steelworks has held a tilting ceremony for a 150-tonne combined blown carbon steel converter, which has been relocated from Baosteel Shanghai No.1’s stainless steel mill, Kallanish notes.
The converter has a capacity of 3.22 million tonnes/year, with commissioning scheduled for 18 March.
