Baosteel Zhanjiang’s No.4 converter approaches commissioning
Baosteel’s Zhanjaing steelworks has held a tilting ceremony for its No.4 350-tonne converter, as it prepares to commission shortly, Kallanish notes. The original planned commissioning date was February 2021.
The converter was installed in late August, and is expected to have 3.6 million tonnes/year of capacity. Baosteel had already built three 350t converters for its Zhanjiang base. The fourth converter will help Baosteel Zhanjiang reach 12.53m t/y…
