Baosteel’s third-quarter earnings swell
China’s Baosteel saw significant growth in its September quarter earnings due to rising production and sales, as well as improving margins, Kallanish learns from exchange filings.
In the third quarter of the year, Baosteel produced 12.76 million tonnes of iron and 13.87mt of crude steel, up 8.4% and 10.8% year-on-year, respectively. This took iron and steel output to 37.03mt and 39.82mt over January-September, a yearly increase of 6.2% and 5.5%.
