Baowu Magang ignites new coke battery
China’s Ma’anshan Iron & Steel (Magang) ignited a new coke battery in the north area of its plant on Tuesday, and will shortly put it into production, Kallanish learns from its parent company Baowu Group.
Construction work on the upgrade project housing two identical 7-metre 50-oven coke batteries started in June 2021, and the full completion has been scheduled for March 2023 (see Kallanish passim).
