Baowu SGIS and JFE complete equity transaction
Japan's JFE Steel and China's Guangdong Shaoguan Iron & Steel Songshan (SGIS) have completed an equity transaction for 50% of SGIS shares, Kallanish notes.
JFE has paid the entire transaction amount to SGIS of CNY 689.14 million ($97.13m). SGIS is in the process of registering business changes and changing its name to Baowu JFE Special Steel.
