Bayi Steel targets Xinjiang capacity mergers
Bayi Iron & Steel (Bagang) in northwest China's Xinjiang has released its 2020 business plan, noting that the most significant task in 2020 is to merge steel capacity in Xinjiang, Kallanish notes.
In 2019, Bagang completed swaps of debt for equity, setting the base for its plans to integrate capacity. The plan is in line with the 13th Five-Year Plan for 2016-2020, which also targeted consolidation in the province.
