Bazhou Steel to add HRC line to EAF
Xinjiang-based Bazhou Steel, a Baowu subsidiary, is planning to add a hot rolled coil production line to its zero-carbon emission electric arc furnace currently under construction, according to the environmental impact assessment report submitted to the local authority.
Like the new EAF, the line will also be installed at Bazhou Steel’s plant in Hejing County. It is expected to reach 500,000 tonnes/year of HRC capacity, Kallanish notes.
