Beltrame completes COS Targoviste acquisition
Italian steelmaker Beltrame has acquired Romanian Special Steel Plant (COS) Targoviste’s production facilities for €38.3 million ($42.2m). The steelmaker intends to invest approximately €100m over the next four years to revamp the steel mill and re-rolling facilities, in addition to €40-50m to guarantee the company’s cash flow.
The acquisition received competition authority approval last month (see Kallanish passim).
