Bengang commissions EAF from Steel Plantech
China's Benxi Iron & Steel (Bengang) in Liaoning Province has commissioned a ecological and economical electric arc furnace "ECOARC" supplied by Steel Plantech Co., Ltd in Japan.
The equipment will be installed at Bengang's Special Steel Mill, Kallanish notes. Bengang began planning to upgrade the site's steelmaking equipment in 2018, and signed a purchase agreement with the Japanese supplier in February 2019 for two sets of EAFs.
