Bengang Plates targets lower output after 2023 record
China-listed Bengang Steel Plates saw annual losses widening in 2023 despite record production across the board. Losses extended into the first quarter of the year.
In 2023, the company’s hot metal and crude steel output was up 4.1% and 6.9% year-on-year to 10.41 million tonnes and 11.28mt respectively. Both of these touched record highs, Kallanish notes.
